Fox Tabolt & Willard Boyle

I was saddened to learn of the death of Willard Boyle on May 7th. He is remembered for his co-invention of the CCD. Some people are just giants in world history. We owe so much to this gentleman, I hope his name will go down alongside that of Fox Talbot.

We’ve just returned from a pilgrimage to Lacock where Fox Talbot invented photography.
This lattice window was the subject of the world's earliest authenticated surviving negative. What an honour to stand where Fox Talbot stood so many years ago when he made his discovery.

I'm often asked in when the photography is needed for a deadline and its got to be right first time. This shoot in Preston was just that. I am always amazed at how much fun we have during our Imagemasterlasses. Two classes finished last week at Odds Farm Rare Breads Park.... Sheep, goats, pigs, and stacks more to shoot. Students learn so much ...so easily.

We are opening our studio in June as part of Bucks Open Studios http://bucks-open-studios.org.uk/ 15 years ago I was commisioned to shoot images for this arts group as it was formed from a group of artists in Milton Keynes. It's very exciting to now be part of it in my own right.
